Mayat Gaddafi Selamat Dikebumikan
Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was buried early
in the morning somewhere in the Libyan desert. The funeral service was
conducted according to Muslim traditions. His son Mo'tassim was buried
as well. The bodies of the colonel, his son and the former minister of
defense were taken out of Misrata in an unknown direction.
The place of the location has not been
exposed, Radio Svoboda said. The new authorities of the country fear
that Gaddafi's followers may turn his grave into a worshipping site.
In the meantime, Gaddafi's another son,
Saif al-Islam, prepares to flee abroad, Rosbalt reports. A spokesperson
for the National Transitional Council of Libya said that Saif al-Islam
was staying in the south of the country. He can escape to Algeria or
Niger, the official said.
In the meantime, over 100 people were
killed in an explosion, which ripped through the fuel storage facility
in Sirte, Gaddafi's native town. The reasons of the explosion have not
been explained yet.
